Pinnacle of modern day Film Noir genre

This movie, along with The Mission, are the definition of "cool". Like absolute zero, there's just nothing colder than that. If there's one thing the Coen Brothers got it right in No Country (and their other films) is their willingness to trust the audience to be intelligent enough to figure things out for themselves. To connect the dots if you will. Such has been the case for Johnnie To, and other Asian (esp. Japanese) and European film makers just about forever. PTU too is demonstrative of that trust.
